Dancing on the Sea was photographed in Oaxaca, Mexico at Punta Puerto Escondido. Aaron was shooting Scott Chandler for the cover of a Stand Up Paddle Magazine when he spotted several groups of these Mobula Rays leaping out of the water and crashing down with a heavy splash. Aaron later found out that these rays do this to attract a mate and are mostly males but some females will do this as well. The loudest splash gets the mate apparently.
